Heron Heights Elementray School Features Heron Heights Elementary School provided a much needed elementary school in a thriving young community. Marrying site cast wall panels with a decorative thin brick inlay blended aesthetically appealing textures on the building. The brick was set into form liners at the time of the panel pour to save on time and cost. Covering the panels in brick not only gave this school a distinctive and unique look, but also will save Broward County on future maintenance. Repainting is not required with the brick exterior. Pairing the architectural thin brick with the paint scheme also lends a subtle touch to the surroundings. This project also showcases a 16’ high by 34’ long radius tilt-up wall. Heron Heights Elementary School was site cast with cast-in-place columns jointed with precast joists at both the one story and two story portions of the building. Heron Heights Elementary School was awarded a Certificate of Outstanding Performance from our client Skanska USA for exceeding their expectations on the aggressive schedule to open in time for a new school year.
